Methodology & Formula Sources

How we compute outputs across financial, tax, and health modules.

1. Financial, Loan & Amortization Models

Standard fixed-rate installment loans utilize conventional periodic compounding annuity formulas:

Payment = P * [ r(1+r)^n ] / [ (1+r)^n - 1 ]

Where P is principal balance, r is monthly interest rate (APR / 12), and n is total repayment months. Extra principal paydowns iteratively deduct against remaining balance month-by-month.

2. Tax, Paycheck & 1099 Estimators

Tax estimations apply macro-level effective aggregate tax percentage models and statutory self-employment baseline rules (e.g., FICA net earnings multipliers). Estimates mirror guidelines published by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), acknowledging that individual deductions, state withholding variations, and local levies require certified CPA validation. Calculations reflect federal baselines and do not incorporate state-specific municipal tax variations unless explicitly specified.

3. Health, TDEE & Body Composition Formulas

4. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

Formulas represent deterministic mathematical approximations. Market interest fluctuations, tax code updates, or biological metabolic variance may introduce real-world divergence. Always cross-reference high-stakes legal, medical, or tax decisions with licensed professionals.
